Steam Profile Studio shows your real Steam profile, or a blank one, and lets you try on Points Shop backgrounds, animated avatars, avatar frames, mini-profile backgrounds and profile themes before you spend any points. It adds up what the look would cost, so you know before you buy.
You can also design your showcases: Artwork, Featured Artwork and Workshop showcases are cut from your background so they line up on Steam, with text, frames, effects and your own pictures on top. When it looks right, Export gives you every file to upload, with the steps.
- Paste your Steam profile link and press Import, or start from the blank template.
- Click any part of the profile, like the background, avatar or frame, to change it.
- Press Edit on a showcase to design it, then Export to get the files and upload steps.

Questions
Can I see a Points Shop background on my profile before buying it?
Yes. Import your profile, click the background and pick any Points Shop background. It shows on your real profile layout, animated if it is an animated background.
Do I need to sign in or install anything?
No. It runs in your browser and your design is saved there. Signing in through Steam is optional and only needed to save designs online or share them in the library.
Does it work with animated backgrounds and avatars?
Yes. Animated backgrounds, mini-profile backgrounds and animated avatars play in the preview, and designed showcases can be exported as animated pieces.
Is it made by Valve?
No. Design Your Profile is a free fan project and is not affiliated with Valve or Steam.
